In the time we were making our PSA I learned to find different ways to get by an issue and how to use a variety of tools. One of the problems we ran into was adding the audio to the video and uploading it to our Google drive, but by asking for help and thinking out of the box we were able to finish in time. We used a couple of different programs to complete this assignment, The biggest one would probable be iMovie. iMovie allowed us to take all the frames that we needed in a PSA and string them together to create a video. It also allowed us to add music which brings us to the next program we used, Jamendo. Jamendo is a free music sharing site where we were able to download the song we wanted in and put it into our iMovie. And of coarse we needed find content for our PSA like pictures. We got these off of Google images. At the end of our video it tells the audience to go to WFP.org, this is the site for the World Food Programme. The WFP is a non-profit group founded by the UN to help eliminate hunger throughout the world. During this assignment we learned how to overcome problems and think outside of the box. Please enjoy our PSA. |

I learned a lot through out the making of our PSA; about Africa, about teamwork and about technology. (Although we actually did not learn a lot about Africa during the actual making of our PSA because we already had the information beforehand). The ipads taught us a lot and also were quite frustrating. Most of our struggles came through the form of music. Other than music, working with imovie and other apps came fairly easily. The music though presented a problem because of the website, the ipad and google drive, it was all very confusing. Even though that was troubling it presented a fun challenge which I enjoyed. I also learned a lot about teamwork through the project; about sharing the workload and listening to my partners ideas. Overall, it was fun working on a project with new technology and with a partner, I really enjoyed it. |
